Our in-house manufacturing operations are located in Applelec’s 6 acre business park in Bradford. With dedicated factories for the manufacture of our trade signage and lighting product ranges we respond quickly whilst never compromising quality.

Letter Fabrication

It is imperative, as a bespoke signage manufacturer, that we continue to embrace traditional methods of hand-crafting built-up letters, to allows us to remain responsive to customer needs and changing trends. This is why the vast majority of our metal built-up letters are fabricated by hand by our team of highly skilled craftsmen.

Our large format press brake machine allows us to fold sheet metal inhouse to provide faster turn around times for our customers.

Paintshop

Our inhouse dual-purpose powder coating and wet spray plant, along with large and small drying ovens and auto-wash machines. The ability to paint in-house ensures Applelec remains flexible to the changing needs of the customer, as well as improve lead times.

Whether applying acrylic faces, vinyl or adding illumination, our signage assembly team put the finishing touches to your signage to ensure it achieves your desired design.

Lighting Distribution

As lighting specialists and sole UK distributors of SloanLEDs we are in a privileged positions to be able to offer our customers a range of illuminations options, as well as expand the possibilities of sign fabrication with slimline solutions for shallower depths, generous warranties and industry leading lumens per watt. From halo illumination to face, rim and rimless to LED neon and cabochon bulbs we are certain to have a solution for everyone.

Laser and CNC machining

Over the years we have invested in various cutting-edge machinery to allow us to continue to innovate and create products that move with growing trends. We recently invested in a second laser machine, specifically for acrylic allowing us to cut to depths of 25mm and a third router to enable us to remain responsive and meet our customers needs.

Warehouse Store

Our inhouse warehouse is a hub of activity, supplying our various departments with all the components they need during signage fabrication, as well as customers with their SloanLED requirements. As the sole UK distributor of Sloan LEDs, we stock a wide variety or LEDs that are the industry leaders on lumens per watt, highly energy efficient and come with generous warranties.

LED Light Sheet Factory

Applelec are also known for our innovative architectural backlighting solutions manufactured inhouse in our LED Light Sheet factory. With over 20 years of experience, we have fine tuned the engineering of our industry leading light panel, Applelec LED Light Sheet. and our ground breaking Green Applelec LED Light Sheet which is the industries first fully environmentally light panel. Used by many award winning practices and projects, our backlighting solutions can be used in a wide variety applications from signage, to shopfitting to luxury brands and architectural projects.
