Premium Finish Metal Letter is 3-4 weeks delivery from artwork approval.
Standard Finish Metal Letter is 2-3 weeks delivery from artwork approval.
Flat Cut Metal Letter is 7-10 days delivery from artwork approval.
LEDs are a stock item and can usually be shipped within 2 working days. Should we be out of stock for any reason, please allow 3 working days for delivery. |

How many LEDs do I need for my built up letters? |
|
Every job is different! We provide our customers with access to the LED Estimator online. To the right of each page you will see the icon. From here you can get a rough idea of what you need. |

How can I get access to the Applelec Members logon page? |
|
The members area is still under development, but you can e-mail us with your company details for us to review. We will then get back to you with account number and password. |

What do you need from me to provide me with a quote? |
|
Our design team are happy to offer their expertise and assistance to any project. When requesting quotes please remember to include the following information:
- Your contact details.
- Heights and return depth.
- Material and finish.
- Mounting template and fixing requirements.
- Artwork drawing if possible.
- Illumination.
- Additional needs.

What fixings do you use to mount your signs? |
|
We use the following:
- Straps for stud mount or brass locators.
- Straps for adhesive.
- Removable L-Clip for Stud mount or brass locators.
- Big head locators for stud mount or brass locators.
- Spacers / Sleeves.

What powder coating options can you offer? |
|
For powder coating please specify your RAL/BS colour references on your purchase order. |

What do you need from me, if I want to use illumination effects? |
|
For illumination, please state illumination type for example LED, the effect for example halo illumination, and the colour. |

Can Twister LEDs be placed in both the back and return of the letter? |
|
Yes - Twister is designed to be placed on both the back and return of a built up letter. It's this feature that enables Twister to light letters which has previously not been availabl, due to size, tight serifs or narrow strokes |

If Twister LEDs are placed on the bottom of a built up letter, will the Twister module corrode? |
|
As per the installation instructions we do not recommend placement of modules on the bottom of built up letters. In a case where the Twister modules do come in contact with moisture it is protected by Permlights new corrosion resistant technology. |

What advantage does the 180 degree "wide view" technology have on the Twister LEDs? |
|
The 180 degree technology provides excellent light dispersion. This allows the sign builder to make shallower letters saving in need for materials and weight. |

What warranty do you offer on the Twister LED's? |
|
Permlight offers standard 5 year warranty on the Twister. However, with Red, up to a ten year warranty may be purchased for an additional cost. harge |

Can you provide mounting templates? |
|
Mounting templates are available on request; please specify this at the quotation stage. |

Are you able to provide a material, colour or finish which I can't see on your website? |
|
If a particular material colour reference or finish is required, please specify this at the quotation stage. |

I asked for Stainless Steel, why does my quote say Titanium? |
|
Titanium is a far more durable material for exterior use, it requires no clear coat and will not pit or discolour, please note though that the edges are not clad so there is a fine silver line on the return where the faces join. |

Can I use Halo Illumination on any material? |
|
For LED halo lighting we recommend the back panel colour finish to be matt, NOT gloss or semi gloss, failure to do so can lead to ‘hot spots' or patches of light appearing resulting in the need to cut acrylic backs at extra cost. We also suggest a lighter colour rather than a darker colour, dark absorb great amounts of light thus reducing the intensity of the overall effect. |

Please make your client aware of the maintenance requirements associated with materials such as copper or brass when required for use outdoors. Applelec Sign Components does not recommend the use of either copper or brass for outside installations. |

What is your methodology for placing an order? |
|
Methodology
Stage 1 - Quotations
We aim to have quotes available the same day, simply call, e-mail or fax us your job project.
Stage 2 - Confirmation
Fabrication commences on fax back of our order form, and receipt of artwork by e-mail.
Stage 3 - Delivery
On completion, the product is packaged and distributed to the customer's desired location.

How do I maintain copper and brass? |
|
Please make your client aware of the maintenance requirements associated with materials such as copper or brass when required for use outdoors. Applelec Sign Components does not recommend the use of either copper or brass for outside installations.

Can I mount LEDs to Acrylic? |
|
The LEDs must be mounted to a metal surface to help dissipate the heat, ensuring the LEDs operate efficiently, failure to mount the LEDs to a metal surface will invalidate the Permlight warranty. If you have acrylic letters with either an acrylic or foamex backtray for example, we suggest bonding 1mm steel or aluminium to the backtray to act as the heat sink for the LEDs.
